Logan Medland - Writer,
Arranger, Tristan 'Fingers' MacLean
Logan began his career as a concert pianist, graduating
from England's Guildhall School of Music and Drama
as one of a handful of Canadians to ever receive
the Advanced Solo Studies Certificate. Following
this, he spent three years as company pianist
at the National Theatre of Great Britain, working
with such talents as director Jonathan Lynne (Yes
Minister and My Cousin Vinnie) and actor Nigel
Hawthorne (The Madness of King George III). Upon
his return to Canada, Logan spent nine seasons
at the Shaw Festival as pianist, composer, musical
director and associate conductor. Personal
highlights include the World Premiere of George
Gershwin's 'A Foggy Day', and Shaw's 'Passion,
Poison and Petrifaction' (with Gillian Raby).
Logan's interest in the connection between tap
dance and jazz led to numerous collaborations
with William Orlowski, internationally renowned
tap dancer and choreographer and founder of
the National Tap Company. As a jazz pianist,
Logan has played across the country with some
of the finest Canadian jazz musicians.
He recently received a Dora Award nomination
for Outstanding Musical Direction for 'Time
After Time: The Chet Baker Project' which toured
nationally in winter and spring '03. As an actor,
he recently played the part of Teddy Shapiro
in 'Sophie Tucker: Last of the Red Hot Mammas'
at Lighthouse Theatre and Theatre Orangeville.
Meanwhile his writing has been published in
literary magazines across Canada and the US.
'The Man Who Delivered Flowers', was selected
for an anthology of best new Canadian short
stories by Pulp Press in 1996, and his recently
completed novel 'The Edge of the World' is represented
by the Angela Rinaldi Literary Agency in Los
Angeles and New York.

Noah Henne - Adrian 'Toes' MacGrath
Hey! I just got back from "A Chorus Line"
in Calgary - where I spent a terrific spring.
Traveling is great - I've been in Drayton, Ontario
for 'Anything Goes', to Hamilton for 'Peter Pan',
and took a cruise with Royal Caribbean out of
LA 'singing for my supper'. But I've always loved
Toronto, where I was born - now have an even deeper
appreciation of 'home' having been away. It's
been wonderful to work in Toronto, where I played
the 'Scarecrow' in 'Me and My Shadows: The Judy
Garland Story', 'David' in 'Year of the Lion'
for Bravo and CBC/Opening Night, and Jason in
'Meant to Be' an inspiring independent film.
You know... it's very true what they say... if
you love what you do, you'll never work a day
in your life. So here I am... on holiday again
tonight, here with you! God bless you all, and
enjoy the show. |

One Acre Productions - Producers
One Acre Productions began -yes- in a barn. With
little more than a script, some top Canadian talent,
and a lot of determination, "Fingers &
Toes" originated July 5th 2002. Gyllian Raby
through sheer determination managed to persuade
the entire theatrical department at Brock University
to work on this hot little show. The importance
of their time and goodwill cannot be stressed
enough - especially in the case of an emerging
production. 'Fingers & Toes' was offered contracts
at several theatres long before anyone knew how
to provide for the essentials of producing professional
theatre.
Alas the Federal and Provincial Governments have
had such dreadful cutbacks to the arts, One Acre
Productions found itself in the position of producing
the show entirely through it's own means. With
the help of Visa, American Express, MBNA Platinum
Master Card and a second mortgage on the house
and even the barn, One Acre Productions pulled
together a show that is touring 11 theatres between
summer 2003 and March 2004, with many more theatres
interested for 2004.
When Logan Medland began agenting his 'baby' and
Kim van Stygeren embarked upon ensuring the smooth
deliveries of set/props/costumes, paperwork, red
tape and monies, One Acre Productions was born.
Broadway here we come!
